This test unit is used to validate the thermal model of the Lightning Imager tool within MTG (Meteosat Third Generation) mission MTG (Meteosat Third Generation)
The EGSE is made by:
- 25 Heater channels used for thermal control
- 12 channels for temperature PT -100 (4 strings)
- 48 channel for temperature PT -1000 (2 strings)
- Control loop in PID logic, 0.1°C precision
The software allows the controlling and monitoring of EGSE status and thermal model; it is able to apply safety / recovery sequences linked to specific failure conditions. All the acquired data are stored and can be re-performed in playback mode.
